FLORAL DESIGN STUDIO
Vervain is a floral design studio founded in 2014 by partners India and Christopher. The studio is based in the Midlands in the UK, from where we travel across the country and further afield designing for weddings, events and brands. With backgrounds in design, we approach growing and working with flowers as art, shaped by a lifelong immersion in nature, each of Vervain’s compositions balances an intuitive use of colour, wildness with intention, celebrating texture, movement and imperfection. The result is floral chaos, orchestrated by nature.

Each project is approached as a singular narrative, drawing from the natural world to create work that captures a moment and leaves a lasting emotional impression.

Our connection with flowers and landscape is intrinsic to our work, celebrating traditional practices with a contemporary, considered approach to horticulture and design.
We have grown flowers at our studio for over a decade, allowing for an intimate understanding of our medium. This closeness informs our exploration of colour, form, and texture, resulting in expressive, refined designs that reflect our clients and their vision with clarity and confidence.
SERVICES
We offer floral design services for weddings across the UK and internationally. We travel across the country from our studio designing for weddings for local and internationally based clients. We regularly work with clients on destination weddings with or without a planner in place. Our approach is rooted in collaboration, pairing the client’s vision and story to create something meaningful and cohesive. We focus on how the day should feel, drawing inspiration from the setting, the season and tastes with considered floral design. With thoughtful details and a modern sensibility, we create floral experiences that feel seamless, intentional, and memorable.
We work with brands and private clients on large-scale installations, brand activations, private and corporate dining, brand campaigns and everything in between. Our approach aligns creative direction with the brand’s identity, values, and audience. We explore event objectives, spatial context and venue architecture, alongside colour palettes, seasonal botanicals, and materiality. Trend insights, cultural references, and sustainability considerations inform thoughtful design concepts that translate brand narratives into impactful, immersive floral experiences. Falls & Standards is an offshoot of the studio, sharing our love for bearded irises (Iris germanica). Through Falls & Standards you can discover more about beared irises, be inspired by our collection and buy iris related goods and our iris indexes from our shop. You can also enquire about buying cut stems from us in May and June every year to use in your own work.
We run workshops from our studio in in the Midlands in the UK. We offer 1:1 workshops and small private group workshops. Workshops are held between May and September each year. Contact us to find out more information.
