FLORAL DESIGN STUDIO
Vervain is a floral design studio rooted in growing, guided by seasonality, and led by colour. We design for weddings, events, and brands — from our studio in Worcestershire, and across the UK and beyond.
INTRODUCTION
Vervain was founded in 2014 by India and Christopher — but our connection to flowers, gardens, and growing runs much deeper than that. Floral design is woven into our family history, a generational attachment to the natural world that shapes everything we make: the varieties we grow, the way we approach a brief, the detail we bring to every stem.
We are growers first. From our studio in Worcestershire, we cultivate our own flowers — unusual varieties, grown with intent. It gives us direct access to material that can't be bought, and keeps us honest: genuinely guided by what the season offers, in close conversation with how plants actually move, age, and change. That growing foundation is the thing that sets our work apart.
Over more than a decade, we have built a practice that is research-led, concept-driven, and deeply personal. Every project — whether a wedding, a brand installation, or a large-scale event — begins with careful listening and ends somewhere considered, cohesive, and entirely its own.
OUR STORY
OUR APPROACH
Our work is colour-led and conceptual. We think in palettes before we think in flowers — finding specific varieties whose colour, form, and texture speak to a brief on multiple levels. We work with reduced palettes deliberately: fewer varieties, more intention. The result is work that feels considered rather than abundant, edited rather than overstuffed.
We don't follow the industry. We look wider — to art, to horticulture, to gardens and landscapes, to the wild, chaotic way that nature puts colour together. We draw on a world beyond weddings.
Everything is hands-on. Every project receives our direct attention and a genuine creative point of view. We don't scale by removing ourselves — the personal touch is the point.

We work across weddings, events, and brands — brought in for the projects where flowers need to do more than decorate.
Weddings Full floral design for weddings across the UK and internationally. We work regularly with couples coming from abroad — navigating destination weddings with or without a planner in place, and bringing the same considered, hands-on approach whether we're working locally or travelling. Every wedding is designed from scratch around the people, the place, and the feeling they're after.
Events Flowers for private and corporate dining, large-scale installations, and everything in between. We approach event work with the same conceptual rigour as our wedding practice — thinking about atmosphere, colour, and detail rather than volume.
Brand work We work with brands on store installations, activations, and campaigns — including multiple years at Chelsea in Bloom. We understand how to translate a brand's identity into floral work that is visually compelling, photographable, and genuinely on-brief. Editorial commissions welcome.
Workshops We run workshops from our studio in Worcestershire and at locations abroad — for those who want to get closer to how we grow, design, and think about flowers. Dates and locations vary by season.
