WORKSHOPS

INTRODUCTION

Workshops are for people of all abilities and backgrounds who share an interest and love of flowers. All workshops are taught by India, with over 12 years undertaking workshops India has taught people from the UK, Australia, Korea, China and USA to name a few.

Our workshops are designed for florists and creatives who want to strengthen their skills and develop their own design perspective. The focus is practical, thoughtful learning rooted in craft, technique, and a clear understanding of floral composition.

We offer three distinct formats; floral workshops, 1:1 workshops and private small group workshops.

CLASS FORMATS

Floral workshops are usually a collaboration between Vervain and another florist and bring together a group for the opportunity to learn as part of a creative team, most of the time with a particular theme, season or even flower. Each session is structured to build confidence in form, proportion, texture, and movement, while encouraging considered, intentional design choices.

For those seeking focused guidance, our 1:1 workshops offer dedicated time tailored entirely to your goals. Whether refining your style or developing professionally, the session is shaped around what you need most.

Our small private group workshops are suited to teams or close collaborators who want to learn and create together in a focused setting. These sessions allow space for discussion, experimentation, and shared development.

FLORAL WORKSHOPS 2026

A floral workshop focused on colour with Vervain & Flowers by Karis.

In Chromatic, we will focus on how to work with colour intentionally in floral design. You’ll learn how different tones interact, how saturation shifts the mood of an arrangement, and how to create balance or tension through colour choices. The aim is to move beyond familiar palettes and cultivate the confidence to let colour lead your work.

London, 20th - 21st May, 2026

1:1 WORKSHOPS

We offer 1:1 workshops that focus on curating a floristry day that is tailor-made to the individual student’s needs, whether it is perfecting a skill they already have or trying something completely new. India will help each person challenge themselves with the use of texture, colour and form, allowing them to express their personality through their work. Every 1:1 workshop takes place at the studio in Worcestershire in the UK. Regular train services connect to nearby towns and cities. We can help arrange transport to and from the station and can recommend accommodation locally if required. Contact us to learn more about our 1:1 workshops.

SMALL PRIVATE GROUP WORKSHOPS

We offer small private group workshops that focus on curating a day that is tailor-made to the group’s requirements. India will help the whole group challenge themselves with the use of texture, colour and form. These sessions allow space for discussion, experimentation, and shared development. ENVIRONMENT

At Vervain we are conscious of the impact of our work on the environment and always make sure we reduce this impact in everything we do. This is achieved by making every effort to source flowers from the studio, and when necessary from other local growers who share our commitment to the environment.

All students’ work is arranged in water using chicken wire or flower frogs, never in floral foam, from a small vase to a large installation and after each class all the green waste is composted to help grow the flowers for future seasons.
